
Richard (Rick) Carduff Perkaus, Sr. (65) of Lake Clarke Shores, Florida died Wednesday, October 11th, 2006 of complications due to lung disease. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janie, in 1999. In recent years, he has been continuously blessed by the company of his loving sweetheart, Joy Eigenauer and her family. He is survived by son, Rick Jr. (Stephanie); daughter, Donna (Mark) Beal; Four grandchildren, Christine, Becky, Kathleen and Tommy; Loving Brother to Bob (Barbara) Perkaus, Nancy (Roger) Farrell, MaryAnn Kelly Boltz, Mary Lou (Jack) Queeney, John Kalgert, Jim Carduff and Joan Mitchell. His friends and family will miss his sense of humor. Rick was born on March 12th, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Loyola Academy High School (Wilmette, IL) in 1959 In his early years, he started a pet shop, traveled to South America to collect tropical fish, and sold screws and bolts. In the mid 70's he founded Fastener Specialties in the Chicago area. The Company survives in West Palm Beach under the current ownership of Rick Jr. and Donna. Rick's passion for family and business has been obvious. Throughout his illness, he rarely missed a day of work. His actions have always said, loud and clear, that loving his family included loving his family's business. So he did.
